What a sight on Muskellunge Lake on July 4th. We had nineteen boats decorated for the occasion making a grand tour of the lake. The folks in the boats and the dozens of lakeside spectators that came out all had great fun. If you have some pictures of the event you could share, send them to musky.board@gmail.com . We had lots of flags, costumes, dogs and most of all originality. The 1st ever winner of the traveling trophy was the Kurhajec Family with the best of the theme. Second went to the Pitchlers who had a tree decorated with red, white and blue fish. Dennis and Pat Schumacher outdid themselves with Pat’s piloting and Dennis’ singing. An honorable mention goes out to the three young men in the small boat from the Olsen family who entertained us with their spirit.
A thanks to our judges Marty and Gay Ketterer from Snipe Lake and Tom and Barbara Zalewski from Plum Lake. It was a tough decision I’m sure. Put this on your calandar for next year July 4th, 2013.
